commissioned work gallery
We take great pleasure in accepting commissioned projects.
Over the years we have collaborated with clients and designers to design and fabricate very memorable pieces for special large and small environments.
Here are a few more recent works. Please speak to us about your ideas!
Price upon request.
ASPEN CABINET WITH SLIDING DOORS
Inspired by the finely crafted sliding doors of Japanese cabinetry, this birds-eye maple console cabinet uses crystal sliding doors carved with delicate tumbling aspen leaves. A few are additionally gilded like the glorious bright gold leaves you find in aspen groves in Autumn.
CUSTOM GLASS CROSS
This unique crystal cross is a collaboration between Christina and gifted wood carver Michael Stagnaro. Hand-carved cherry and walnut hold individual thick prismatic crystal segments that depict the Glory of the Heavens-- in etched, carved, and 23k gold-leafed art and detailing. Glass and light have always been a powerful combination, magnetizing and amplifying light as a physical and spiritual presence.
Availability: This Cross can be made chapel sized or larger for an altar and prayer area within a meditation space or chapel / church space. Measures 21 1/2” x 31” x 3” and is available in custom sizes.
4th STATION OF THE CROSS
The 4th Station of the Cross along the La Via Dolorosa’s Christian pilgrimage path commemorates the powerful and tender encounter between Jesus and his Mother, Mary.
I want to honor the two Divine Lights as they meet on this momentous Journey. Haloes, carved with the details of their radiant light, intersect, in this heartbreaking moment between a mother and her son.
The piece is held in a cherrywood mounting bracket covered in the traditional and exquisite gold leaf glass mosaic used for centuries in religious edifices world-wide. Details of the Crown of Thorns is woven into the mosaic. Hidden custom LED lighting illuminate the crystal details and rays which extend beyond the polished crystal edges and outward to us. The mosaic is a collaboration and was designed and fabricated by award-winning Mosaic artist Kate Kerrigan.
Availability: I would love to continue the other 13 Stations of the Cross, as a commissioned work for a sacred space.
SOUTH POINT TROPHY
We are honored that Michael Gaughan, owner of the South Point Casino Hotel and Spa and lifetime Motorsport Fan, commissioned us to create a unique one-of-a-kind Trophy for the South Point 400 Nascar race at Las Vegas. The triangular cherry and walnut base is the shape of the track, shows the Winner’s name and sponsor, and holds a waterjet cut shape of heavy ¾ inch crystal which displays the hand carved SouthPoint logo. The logo is flanked by checkered winner’s flags and 2 powerful mustang horses ready to race. The 2018 race was won by Penske Team driver Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. in 2019. The 2020 driver will also receive these very exclusive limited edition trophies, proudly displayed at the South Point Hotel, the RaceTrack’s hall of Fame and Roger Penske’s private home.
Vision is the art of Seeing things Invisible
This “white-on-white” monolith celebrates seeing in the technical sense, cleverly depicting and artist’s version of the eye, plus a classic eye chart and the wonderful words of Albert Einstein:
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed.
Beautiful and mesmerizing as a focal point in any entryway or lobby as a philosophical piece, and simply stunning in an ophthalmology setting when highlighted with a spotlight.
Availability: Measures 18” x 30” x 1/2” and is available in custom sizes.
