This exquisite hand-carved crystal LOVE Mandala is based on ancient Yogic sacred texts that describe a “thousand petaled lotus”. A beautiful design, radiating from this powerful word, can be used as a warm focal point for calming or meditation. The gold rings are hand-burnished 23K gold leaf inlay.

LOVE is what we think of and feel when two persons are committing to understanding and partnership, perhaps planning a wedding. It is what we wish to celebrate with the arrival of a new child or the cherishing of a dear friend or family member, and it is what we return to over and over when meditating in Metta, often called loving-kindness meditation. This is the practice concerned with the cultivation of benevolence, kindness, and amity. In meditation the practice generally consists of silent repetitions of phrases such as "May you be happy" or "May you be free from suffering".
